Getting support from others living with cancer

Research has shown that getting support from friends and family is important in helping people with cancer recover their emotional health and well-being. However, people can sometimes feel isolated after their diagnosis and during and after treatment. It can help to talk to people who understand you and have similar experiences.
There are many online community groups that can connect you with others. If you would rather meet people face to face rather than online, you can see who is in your local area by looking at the Cancer Care Map.
