The first part of goal setting it to define what it is you want to fix. Take time out to write what aspects of living with cancer are causing you emotional or psychological problems.
Try not to pick an objective that is too general.
Think about how you will know you have achieved your goal.
This may be something that seems very small but could give you a sense of achievement.
Is it important to you? This can help you prioritise goals that you, not others, want to achieve.
Set a deadline for your goal. This helps you to be specific.
