Connecting with the here and now
All too often, we are so concerned with our thoughts, worries and feelings that we lose the connection with what is happening in the present. These thoughts can be so overwhelming that we may feel numb or completely disconnected from the world. Take a moment to recognise there is a difference between your thoughts and worries and who you are as a person.
Try to connect with the present moment by connecting emotionally with whatever is happening in your life now. There are various techniques that can help you do this, including Breathing exercises and mindfulness.
